Steampunk began as a literary movement often described as “Victorian Science Fiction”. What’s unique about it is that it has drawn from sub-cultures ranging  from costume enthusiasts; to makers & tinkerers; Goths; Historical Re-enactors, to Burners and beyond! This diversity has contributed to making Steampunk something greater than the sum total of its parts.
